(Un)Fortunately my school has a Sadie Hawkins called snowball.
Although the event is almost two months away, I sit here nauseous at the
thought of asking someone to go with me. I don’t want to ask someone when he’d
rather have someone else ask him. I don’t want a pity yes, but I really don’t
want a rejection either.
My freshman year
we had a winter formal (boys asked, PTL). About two months after, one of my
really good guy friends said he thought he about asking me, but thought I would
say no. When really, if he’d asked me, I would have said yes!!!!!! He thought
he was no good and that I didn’t want to go with him. (Lol WRONG)
I know we can see
our relationship with Christ like this. Countless times I find myself thinking,
there is literally NO way Jesus actually wants me. But wait!! 1 Timothy 2:3-4
says, “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be
saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” Aha!!! See. God wants YOU.
So quit saying you
aren’t enough, because you are!
Also, here’s a
little verse to motivate you single ladies trying to get up the courage to ask
someone to snowball. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the
door will be opened to you. “ Matthew 7:7, hehe. (Okay yes, I do know I kind of maybe really took this out of context please don't condemn me). Basically the moral of the story is, God loves and wants you and I don't have a date for snowball.
God
Bless,
Kasia
PS.
I did get a date for formal and he was pretty rad!!
PSS.
Guys can reject you, but God won’t. So. In the end, pick God not guys.
