| Rachel, Hannah, Natalie, and I. If you can recognize our faces from behind on the next pictures, go you. |
This photo was taken a little over a year ago at my first
football game at a new private school, and my first football game as a
cheerleader.
I had a cute idea
of this picture and just asked to three nearest cheerleaders to join me. We had
no idea what kind of friendship we would encounter through the following year.
I cannot begin to
describe my love for these girls. The friendship I have with them is unbreakable.
Even after I moved to a different school this past year, and Rachel moved to
Kansas, we’ve still kept in touch.
These girls are an
enormous blessing to me. All three of them are amazing Christians who help
little old heathen Kasia stay on track. And if you’re around us, you will know
we NEVER stop laughing. The boys last year hated us for our continuous
laughter.
I can’t pinpoint
one of my favorite memories with these girls, every SINGLE football/basketball
game, cheer competition, trip to walmart, p.e. class, was a great adventure. But I can say a few of the
most memorial ones.
1. Our very first
cheer competition EVER. And we got second place! We were in total shock when
they called off our names. Once they’d past third place we thought our chance
for placing at all was gone. Our routine had gone…interesting. We still laugh
to this day about what went wrong. But we got second, and I can tell you,
there’s never been a team this excited about runner up.
2. Football games
were always exciting. Our second game was away, and in the beginning of
September. It was also during a thunderstorm with the possibilities of
tornadoes (Ya Oklahoma!!!!!!). Halfway through the 1st quarter the game was postponed
due to bad weather. Considering we’d driven 3 hours to get to this game, we
were NOT leaving. We were going to wait it out. So while the football boys were
safe in the conveniently nearby firehouse, us girls were all crammed inside of
the school’s van. For over an hour we waited with crackling thunder and
lightning outside waiting to resume the game. We finally got the clear and
booked it out of the van. We were graciously greeted by a plethora of crickets
and red dirt. (Our math teacher’s shoes are still stained red to this day.)
Needless to say we won! And got home around three a.m. Go mustangs!
3. I’m cutting
this short because I could go on and on about stories about us, but I’ll end
with this. The countless times we just sat together hugging, bawling our eyes
out. We knew that things wouldn’t last forever. We were going to miss the
seniors, and Rachel. We had no idea that we’d eventually be missing me too. We
cried because we were hurt and need God. But thankfully the reason we usually ended up crying was from laughing. Oh boy we laughed. Belly achin, tear fallin laughs.

Oh my I love these girls.
Proverbs 17:17, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother (SISTA
SISTA) is born for a time of adversity.”
God bless,
Kasia
